Loving Earth Project: Textile Panel Workshops

The Loving Earth Project exhibition at Scottish Maritime Museum Dumbarton will be accompanied by a series of Textile Panel Workshops.

These workshops are for all ages and abilities but children must be accompanied by an adult. In these led sessions you will get as much guidance as you need to start your own textile panel. All levels of experience welcome from beginners to expert crafters. Materials will be provided and places are free with Museum entry but we encourage you to book in advance to avoid disappointment. The workshops last 2 hours so you can start your panel and talk to the other crafters and then take you panel away with you to finish off at home!

Your panel can express climate change issues or what you love about the planet and nature – anything you love about planet Earth. The project is about our interaction with nature, we will celebrate, collaborate and craft! You can take you textile panel home or it can become part of the exhibition and go on display at the Scottish Maritime Museum Dumbarton as part of The Loving Earth Project exhibition! All you have to do is write an short accompanying lable about what your panel means to you.

We encourage people to come to two sessions so you can come back and show us how your textile panel is progressing!
