Description

There have been various ways of denoting the rank of a principal keeper. In the 19th century the PLK's jacket had a velvet collar to denote his rank but in about 1912 the first badge denoting the rank was made. This die made the brass collar badges used by principal keepers to show their status. These badges were short lived and were replaced in the 1930s with the introduction of the new PLK cap badge.
