Description

Card, company Christmas card from Angus Jute Mil, Calcutta, dated 1913. The front cover bears a thistle logo with the words 'Seasons Greetings and Best Wishes for the New Year' printed in red script. The inside of the card features a black and white photograph of Angus Jute Mill. Part of a collection of items relating to Indian jute mills and Mr. Burt Clark. Clark joined Jute Industries as an apprentice in 1928. In 1933 he moved to India and began work as a clerk in Titaggua, later moving to Calcutta and becoming general manager for all the mills.
