Scrap Books of John A Wilson

Description

These scrap books are filled with newspaper cuttings from the War and were collected by local man John A Wilson from Elie. There is a clear focus on Naval activities and warfare, with many cuttings mentioning ships built on the Clyde or having links to Scotland. One of the cuttings shows HMS Belfast sailing underneath the Forth Bridge after being damaged by an explosion, possibly from a sea mine, in the Firth itself.
