OS Linlithgowshire / Edinburghshire composite 6" to 1 mile, 1898, Seafield to Tarbrax with colour annotations of geology, detail shale workings, boreholes etc including the hand coloured basic geology of the area, on top of which are marked the mine workings of the Fells, Raeburn, Fraser shale workings as well as the Hurlet coal workings. It demonstrates how both narrow seams of coal were sometimes found in close proximity to shale oil.
