Plaque for the Devenport Mining Section

This plaque represents a sea mine disposal unit which operated during the Second World War. The emblem of a shark and two sea mines, represents the danger of this kind of work at sea. Disposing of sea mines was essential to make sure navel traffic could continue to sail safely down the Forth and out into open sea.
