Junior Miner Experience

Sign up for your first shift as a Junior Miner at the Lady Vic! Do you think you have what it takes?

Kids will dress up in full miner’s uniform for the day. It includes a boiler suit, hardhat, torch, satchel and piece tin (for their snack break).

They’ll be led by the Pit Boss to complete fun and interactive tasks to get them ready to begin their training. They will learn all about the smelly and deadly gases that miners encountered in the pits. Next kids will complete exciting sets of challenges intended to get them moving around the colliery and to see if they have what it takes to be a miner.

Finally they will create their own miners lamp to take home. All who make it to the end of the day will have completed their training and receive certificates and medals declaring them Junior Miners!

• Parents are not required to stay with their children during the workshop, unless the child requires additional support.
• Workshops last for 2 hours and includes a snack break
• Suitable for ages 8-12.
• Please note there is a booking fee of .50p per ticket.
